I wanted to share a seriously cool event that is being hosted by our friends at TheCarylDaily on tumblr. They are hosting the first round ever of the Carol & Daryl (Caryl) Fanfiction Awards! The cool part here is, you don't have to be on tumblr to participate. Here's the scoop, taken directly from the Fanfic Awards page:
Nomination Rules:
1). You may nominate two (2) authors/stories/series/etc per category.
2). You may nominate your own work.
3). You do not have to make a nomination in every category.
4). Nominations are not anonymous.
5). When nominating a story/series/etc, you must provide the correct penname and correct title. A link to the nominated author/story/series/etc would be most helpful.
6). Copy & paste the following form into an email and send it to the following email address - thecaryldaily@outlook.com

Thanks much! I hope there are more nominations because as of right now there isn't any on their list. I got together just a few of my faves since I don't have much time.
Someone should have pimped this award site sooner, so they received hundreds of noms. lol
It hasn't been going very long, Rae. This is the first one being run in this fandom. I know we're old Spuffy Awards hats but this is a new venture for many. I haven't really caught up with it myself yet!
I can and will push back the deadline if that is needed to get more nominations. Just let me know! <3
Dayum Megan, I'm all sad now. After packing to head to Texas in the morning for my uncle's funeral, I went and looked at the FangFetish livejournal, nostalgia from this post you know. We only have the two rounds on there and the old award site is completely lost, but feckin hell the pretties. Fang Fetish had the best graphic artists ever, especially the final round when Kargrif created the mod choice that moved between the pretty and the paragraph that mods wrote for the reason choosing the fic.
*bawls* I wish I had that much time to devout to my fandoms again. I miss it so. I miss you dearest.
Larissa, I am hoping that you can push the deadline back, I wanted to nominate but time has run out on me and I won't be able to even think about it until the weekend. And there is so much goodness out there that I hate for it to not be recognized! Are you considering giving everyone more time?
Rae, I know what you mean. It's taken a long time to get a grip on this fandom, and to learn who the graphics artists are. I miss not having a circle of people I can go to and ask for graphics like Mandi and Kargriff. I miss Vampire's Kiss, and SInister Attraction. **sobs**
Shelly, I did push back the deadline for nominations :) I hope you were able to get yours in or that you'll be getting them in before the deadline :)
