A series of stories fiddling around with late Season 5 Caryl and ignoring most of Season 6 and beyond.
Takes place during 5x10 "Them." Daryl talks to Carol while the group takes refuge from the storm, encouraging her to feel it. And, of course, he's the one to hold her when she does.
It's Christmas time in Alexandria and the women are busy baking cookies, including Carol. She's sick of playing the timid housewife, but it isn't until Daryl invites her on a mission that she drops the act and they finally explore what's between them.

It's hard not to think about Georgia when Alexandria is so different. On a late summer night, Daryl's awake with a bout of homesickness and Carol helps him through it.
Daryl was given two weeks to explore outside the wall, but he's willing to cut it short if it means he can see Carol sooner.
