I wanted to try and capture the experience of what it might be like for Carol and Daryl to have to confront an abusive situation, given their own separate but extensive experiences with abuse.

I also wanted to show that they are survivors who have evolved to the point where they can not only break the cycle and help other victims, but also help each other through the all too familiar pains and processes of abuse.
