This chapter is being posted in recognition of NASA's probe Juno reaching Jupiter on July 5, 2016, after a voyage of 5 years covering 1.7 billion kilometers and a 35 minute braking burn required to achieve a stable orbit around it. Juno has powered up its solar panels, aimed its antenna toward Earth, and has begun transmitting telemetry.

We now have a working spacecraft orbiting the mightiest planet in the solar system.

You had probably already guessed that I was going to post a new chapter to this in the wake of NASA's confirmation of "the largest batch of Earth-size habitable-zone planets" yet by the Spitzer Space Telescope on February 22, 2017. I am ecstatic. :-)
