He sheds his muddy boots just inside the kitchen door and tries to make a grab for Dog before he runs off, he really does, but the damn animal’s too squirrely.  Too excited to see his kids.  To see his girl.  Daryl can relate.

Across town, in a neighborhood much nicer than the one Merle Dixon called home, in an unfamiliar bed in her Uncle Dale’s house, Carol Mason was just waking up and greeting the first day of her summer vacation with a sleepy smile.  She was happily oblivious to Merle’s innocent mistake and the ways in which her carefully ordered life was about to be turned upside down with one knock on the wrong door. 

Then again, she wasn’t the only one.

My response to the Nine Lives "Find Your G-Spot" June challenge.  Think The Princess Bride meets The Walking Dead.  Sort of, lol.  AU with appearances by multiple characters.  Rating subject to change. 

So.  I had a couple of ideas for the October challenge that I didn’t manage to finish in time.  One’s still a work in progress.  This one’s my latest disasterpiece, lol.  I hope somebody out there likes it.

What if Merle's ambush of the Governor had worked and he killed him?  With Michonne's help?  How would that have changed life at the Prison and the Woodbury community?

Andrea lives and things get even more complicated.  Milton pines.  Merle takes the grudging respect he's earned and ingratiates himself within the Prison community.  And Carol and Daryl?  They're growing into feelings that have been there all along.

Season 11 AU.  Kind of.  Carol and Daryl haven’t seen much of each other since they arrived at the Commonwealth.  Daryl’s part of Mercer’s security force and no, they don’t wear the ridiculous storm trooper suits in this.  Carol’s been doing her own thing.  They cross paths at one of the CW’s many frivolous events.

Posting it separately for a couple of reasons, but mostly because it deals with some Season 10 MSP spoilers and speculation.

Non-ZA AU in which Carol and Daryl grew up as childhood friends.  AKA, the fic where Shae indulges in her weakness for the friends to lovers trope and the whole fake/forced marriage thing because apparently, already having a Caryl mail-order bride story on my resume just isn't enough, lol.
