I am a 39-year-old German journalist who actually dislikes spooky literary genres like horror, suspense and thriller. And I don't like zombies much either. So when my husband started watching TWD, I would normaly wish him fun and retreat somewhere else. Until I first witnessed a Caryl dialogue, that is. Those two (and also other great characters, because this show is GREAT with character building) drew me in, and so now I'm regularily sitting next to my husband for my next TWD fix. Though I still have to duck behind my darling's back for the more gruesome scene (which he rather likes, so this is a win-win for everyone).
