Hello, everyone! Been looking for a story for a couple of weeks, here and ff.net. Caryl, the entire group is on the run. Lori's still with them. Rick's hoarding majority of food for Lori. Daryl notices Carol is pregnant. They go off on their own adventure.

Robin, I think the story your thinking of is ‘Daylight’ by SOA Loving Mom. Great writer! I miss her.

Thanks Rose, to clarify I meant he accused Daryl of abusing Sophia, and Merle was alive. And Carol threatened or maybe hit him..?

I have done that a few times, Robin. I've got one that's not that old, but "Becoming" has a pretty prominent situation where Shane is accusing Daryl of abusing Carol.

Hi all - looking for an old story; the only reference I clearly remember was that they were all looking for Sophia and Carol got hurt. When they were all back at the farm after finding her, Shane accused Daryl of abusing her in the tent... anyone recognize this?

I know that art makes itself regardless of what life is happening. Makes sense of the whole Writers gotta Write. Now my ? Daryl and the short "fuse"--why doesn't he just go ahead on and get "it" outta the way, then, less stressed, he could perform any number of kindly acts of get down, get funky.

pearlseed I don't know a writer who doesn't like comments, even on long-ago fics. Those kind are the best because it means the writer's work hasn't been forgotten. Like ramblin said, sometimes those comments spark other ideas & while writers don't write for comments, they REALLY are an inspiration!

I often think about how 1 change in events leads to another change, leads to a whole different outcome. So for Christmas I would like this fic: T-Dog isn't cut, so Daryl and he find Sophia. Randall rat's out his boss Governor, so when they find the prison its safe. Merle joins Andrea & Michonne.

something for lack of interest. I know most writers really appreciate and even need that validation, so always leave something if you can. It means more than you know to those who write, and it could really make someone's day!

pearlseed - I think most writers like any kind of comments. I know, personally, that comments/reviews can be the deciding factor in how much or how often I write something. They can be the motivation that keeps something going, gets something started, or even gets it going again if I shelved

good to know cos I got taught early on to leave a word or two becos there might not be more if I don't. I get so dadblame excited by the way the words fit together or a clever twist on the regulation. Most writers have some moment when their hearts shine through and it's just stunning to me.

I love comments on old works and knowing someone has discovered or re-discovered them, even if I don't half remember what I wrote!

@pearlseed I’m pretty sure writers appreciate any kind of feedback to their work, no matter how much time has passed. (Unless, you know, they’ve completed abandoned a fandom in every way, and therefore have no way of seeing or being notified about new comments.)

Sorry I don't write basic--last bit was about responding to years old stories that I've just discovered? Do folks look back at the body of works and remember fondly or not just wondering?

Ah re-read Untouchable Face and it reminded me of this writer who did a breakdown of her stories, sorta Cliff Notes of what she was thinking what she wrote. Would love to see (lots of) someones do that here cos there's some intense feelings going on. How do writers feel about response to old storie
