Submission Rules

Submission Rules

  1. All submissions must be accompanied by a complete disclaimer. You do not need to post a disclaimer in each chapter. Post it to either the story summary or the first chapter. If a suitable disclaimer is not included anywhere in the story, however, the site administrators reserve the right to add a disclaimer. Repeat offenders may be subject to further action up to and including removal of stories and account.
    Sample Disclaimer
Disclaimer: All publicly recognizable characters, settings, etc. are the property of their respective owners. The original characters and plot are the property of the author. The author is in no way associated with the owners, creators, or producers of any media franchise. No copyright infringement is intended.
  2. Stories must be submitted to the proper category. If there is an appropriate sub-category, DO NOT add your story to the main category. The submission form allows you to choose multiple categories for your story, and we worked very hard to add that functionality for you. So please do NOT add your story multiple times!
  3. Titles and summaries must be kid friendly. No exceptions. If you're unsure about your potential title/summary, ask an admin.
  4. "Please read", "Untitled", etc. are not acceptable titles or summaries.
  5. A number of authors have requested that fans refrain from writing fan fiction based on their work. Therefore submissions will not be accepted based on the works of P.N. Elrod, Raymond Feist, Terry Goodkind, Laurell K. Hamilton, Anne McCaffrey, Robin McKinley, Irene Radford, Anne Rice, Diana Gabaldon and Nora Roberts/J.D. Robb.
  6. Correct grammar, punctuation and spelling are expected of all stories submitted to this site. The site administrators are not overly obsessive over grammar. However, the site administrators reserve the right to request corrections to submissions with a multitude of basic grammar and/or spelling and/or punctuation errors. If such a request is ignored, the story will be deleted.
  7. Please format your story before submitting it! Submissions received with the story text in a single paragraph will be sent a beta corrections letter. If the request is ignored, the story will be deleted.
  8. All stories must be rated correctly and have the appropriate warnings. All adult rated stories (E, M, E-RPF, M-RPF) are expected to have warnings. After all, they wouldn't have that rating if there wasn't something to be warned about! The site administrators recognize that there is an audience for these stories, but please respect those who do not wish to read them by labeling them appropriately. Please note: Stories containing adults having sex with minors are strictly forbidden.
  9. RATINGS:

Stories are rated in the following manner:

    • G (General): No curse words, sex, descriptive violence, etc.
    • T (Teen): Maybe a little violence, a swear word or two.
    • M (Mature): Violence, language, some gore, sex (but not a specific play-by-play of the sex itself, just allusions to the act)
    • E (Explicit): Graphic description of sexual situations; graphic violence, including rape; explicit gore; extreme language; PWP; anything else not for the faint of heart.

When in doubt, rate your story E & ask an admin. We can always downgrade it later if needed. (If you are unsure which to use, a good barometer is if you are looking for other words for "penis" it's an E.)

    • The RPF ratings (for McReedus) follow this same system, except those are G-RPFT-RPFM-RPF, and E-RPF in the ratings list.
  10. Stories with multiple chapters should be archived as such and NEVER as separate stories. Upload the first chapter of your story, then go to Manage Stories in your account to add additional chapters. If you have trouble with this, please contact the site administrator or ask a friend to help you.
  11. As much as possible, spoiler warnings are expected on all stories. For categories with serialized content, such as series of books or television series, spoilers are mandatory for the current season and/or most recent part. An appropriate spoiler warning to place in your summary would be: Spoilers for Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. DO NOT do anything like this: Spoilers for the one where Spock dies. (FYI: Anyone who PMs an admin yelling because we just spoiled Spock's death in STII will be flogged with a wet noodle.)
  12. This is a Caryl site, therefore all stories must be Caryl-centric. If your story contains Carol/other of Daryl/other for ANY amount of time, be sure to use the appropriate warning. There are readers out there who are very opposed to reading such stories, even if the non-Caryl pairing is temporary. Again, this is a Caryl site, and we're looking for Caryl pairings.
  13. This archive is threesome fic free. See rule above.

Submissions found to be in violation of these rules may be removed and the author's account suspended at the discretion of the site administrators and/or moderators. The site administrators reserve the right to modify these rules as needed.
