Summary: When a forgotten relative dies, Merle puts everything at risk to travel to Nevada and claim the inheritance left to him and Daryl. After his brother had sold everything they’d owned, Daryl had no other choice but to join him on the trip. Annoyed with Merle and the whole situation, he hadn‘t thought he would find anything resembling hope again, and certainly not in a cat-house.

This little idea came to me when I started writing my other story, "Don’t Kiss", and has plagued me ever since. This is a short version with reversed roles, but it’s quite different. And of course, you don't have to know the other story to read this one!
Furthermore, I’m suffering an unexplained illness of unknown origin which keeps me from writing one shots 
(I’m blaming Charlotte). I just can’t do it, no matter how hard I try! So far, this story is planned with four five chapters.

In fact, some of the parallels in this chapter to the scene are coincidental because most of the chapter was already written when it aired. But at least the title was inspired by it.
What should I say ... that scene happened and then my vacation and my birthday ... that's why the chapter came so late. So my poor muse wouldn’t have had time to get out of her hiding place anyway ... she’s sensitive and needs patience.
