This takes place in the prison, after Merle and Daryl come back. This little plot doesn't really technically fit into the actual show's story line, so it's kind of AU, I suppose.
I published it on ff.net in my one-shot series entitled "The Vagabonds", under the title "Respite"...it's been modified only slightly from that version.
