I often find solace in my life by emotionally investing myself into tv shows and their characters. For me it is a form of escapism followed by genuine concern and love for the characters portayed on the screen. I have found this with 'Caryl'. The characters of Carol Peletier and Daryl Dixon are so complicated and interesting that I often find them plaguing my mind. They manage to be completely opposite yet the most well-matched couple on the show that I can't help but fall in love with and root for their relationship whether it is platonic or romantic.

I've never really written an extended piece of fanfiction before so I may be taking my time with the first piece that I publish. My main aim is to be sensitive and thought-provoking about their relationship without offending anyone. Most importantly however, I want to do these characters and this fandom justice.
