Admins, any idea why certain stories or chapters don’t have the “Reader View Available” on mobile? It’s my only way to read at the moment and the font is too small, even after enlarging. Thanks!

Couldn’t agree more with the below too. I hardly ever used to review things and I feel awful for it since I started posting things myself because I’ve learnt how much it matters, even the simplest ‘good job’ means a lot!

@CharlotteAshmore you said it all right there. None of us are asking for gushing reviews, just an acknowledgement that people enjoy what we write. Little or no reviews make an author question whether they're wasting their time.

Authors just want to know their stories are being read, they want to know what precisely you liked, if worded nicely, some even want to know what you didn't like. It only takes a moment to say 'good chapter' or 'nice work' and that could be the difference between that writer continuing or giving up

I try to review everything I read. Usually the only time I don't review is when I have to click out of a story bc I just can't read it. Even if I don't particularly like a chapter or the story in general, I will review. There has to be SOMEthing in the chapter or story which I can comment on.

I should also add that I have nothing but respect for all you authors - putting yourselves out there (as an artist, I understand). I'm not trying to upset anyone: just wondering what authors want from their readers. (I follow the 'don't like it, don't read it' rule already also).

Question for you authors (I'm an avid reader, but don't write)...I always try to review a story I enjoy at least once throughout. I don't review stories that I don't love. Is that bad? Should I say I didn't love it or not? Or are only "I loved it" reviews welcome? what do authors want? :)

Chem, I honestly guess that depends on the writer. I'd say one or two and gauge their response. LOL Personally I can say that messages like that have been what I needed to finish some fics (or at least to continue them) that I was sort of sitting on, but I guess that everyone is different, too.
