“What do I do, ‘Chonne?” He asked lowly, his voice uncertain. He had both of Carol’s hands flat between his and her fingers were twitching spasmodically as the burn of blood circulating returned. His chest was heaving in fear as he imagined the warmth leaching out of her, reaching her fingertips and diffusing away into the air. He hated that he got like this; hyperventilating and helpless when it came to the wait, especially with her.
